पंजाब राज्य के बठिंडा में भीषण सड़क दुर्घटना हो गया, घटना में करीब 8 लोगों की मौत हो गई, जबकि 18 से ज्यादा लोग घायल हो गए, घटना की सूचना मिलते ही आस-पास के लोग पहुंचे, इसकी सूचना पुलिस को दी, जहां से आनन-फानन में घायलों को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया, जहां उनका इलाज जारी है। घटना के वक्त बस में करीब 50 यात्री सवार थे।
दरअसल यह हादसा तब हुआ जब तेज रफ्तार बस लवंडी साबो से बठिंडा जा रही थी, इसी बीच बठिंडा के पास जीवान सिंह वाला गांव में एक निजी बस पुल से टकरा गई और नाले में जा गिरी, घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस और एनडीआरएफ की टीम मौके पर पहुंची, साथ ही स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से राहत-बचाव अभियान चलाया और घायलों को जिला अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया और शवों को निकाला ।
